Guide: Security Checks

Security Check Team
Every now and then, Moola’s security team will do a routine security sweep/audit to make sure that the members are complying with the site’s terms of service. So do not be surprised if you get locked out of Moola one of these days. Keep in mind that this does not mean you have done something wrong. So take a deep breath (did you do it? no… well take a deep breath!!!!) and continue reading this post.

If you happen to be locked out, the first thing you need to do is check the email account you have associated with Moola.com. You will usually receive an email in regards to why you have been locked out within 24-48 hours. If they request further information from you, the sooner you comply, the sooner they will be able to confirm there are no problems and let you back into your account.

I covered the most frequent reasons people get banned from the site in a previous post, I suggest you read it if you have not already done so.

Guide: Terms Of Use

Moola’s Terms Of service can be a bore to read, but I highly recommend that you do before you invest your time in the game. For the most part, it is actually pretty easy to comply to their terms. But it does help to actually read the dang thing first.

Every few days I will see someone post asking about why they were banned. Before you start yelling on the forums, know that no one on the forums will be able to help you. You are going to have to contact Moola’s Security team in order to get any help resolving the problems.

Here are a few common reasons as to why people get banned or have their moola confiscated:

  1. Two Accounts Per A Household - Even if you have a family of 3 in the same household who all want to play Moola, you are only allowed two accounts. So find out who would play the most and create accounts for only those two players.
  2. Do NOT share your accounts - This means that you are not allowed to play for someone else (even if they are your significant other). This includes spinning the search and win wheel. Believe it or not, the security team has a way of determining if you do spin for someone else.
  3. Participants must be 13 years or older to participate - Pretty straight forward. I am pretty sure this is for legal purposes.
  4. Do not abuse the system - Even if you figure out a way to get extra spins or win money in a non-legit way. Do not do it. Some people have purposely lost all their money to someone they know or transfer their Moola to someone else’s account so that they can keep getting Phil a.k.a “The Poor Man’s Wheel”. This is considered abuse since that is not how the wheel was meant to be used.
  5. Do not use more then one type of browser at a time - Many people have tried to play more then one game at a time by using two different browsers. This is not allowed. You can open a new tab or instance of the browser so that you can play a game and surf the forums (or any other website), but thats about it.

Guide: Shopping Booster

With the Christmas just around the corner, it is a great time for me to explain how Shopping Boosters work.

Shopping Image
It is actually a very simple concept. When you use Moola.com’s link to visit a retailers site, the retailer will credit Moola for referring you to them. Moola will then get a referral bonus for your purchase or for you completing an offer. Depending on the booster that you decide to do, Moola.com will be paid either a percentage of your purchase or a flat fee. In return for you using Moola’s link, Moola will take a part of their referral bonus and pass it on to you as a booster.

Feel free to read more as I cover the benefits of using shopping boosters as well as a few commonly asked questions.

Guide: Booster Blitz

Moola has just announced that there will be a Booster & Invite Blitz this Nov. 6th from 6pm EDT to midnight (of for those of you on the west coast like me, 3pm - 9pm PST). Like many of you, I have never experienced a booster blitz and I actually have no clue what it is. So I did a little research and I am going to share with you what I have learned.

What is a Invite Blitz?
This is the first year that Moola.com will be conducting this prize. Basically every new member that joins during the 6 hour period will not start off with just one penny, but instead they will have enough money to play on level 6 on the tower.

What is a Booster Blitz?
A Booster Blitz is an event on Moola.com where a sponsor will basically give away free money during a given time period?

Guide: Bots

I have recently realized that my posts are pretty long, so for these guides, I will just post a few bullet points at the top and if you are interested in reading more, go ahead and continue reading.

Robots On Moola.com
The Things You Should Know About Bots:

  1. They are around as place fillers
  2. They are programmed to win and lose an even amount of games
  3. They only play up to level 9
  4. You always have the option not to play the bots
  5. Bots are always anonymous

Take each bullet point above with a grain of salt. There is no way for me to guarantee anything I say there since I have no access to the websites source code and cannot confirm that what ever is written on Moola.com is legit.
